Eye Love It!

Rating: 4/5

When I was in Taipei, I came acroos the Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex by Estee Lauder. I was then just looking for the Idealist Pore Minimizing Refinisher. I bought this because I do not have eyebags, I have eyeluggages baby! I have had eyeluggages for as long as I can remember. Maybe because I have big eyes too... Then again, do they really have to be dark?

This product comes in a small jar and while this may seem to be unhygienic, as a consolation, it has with it a plastic ball with a handle of course, for application. The small jar lasted me 10 months more or less.

Estee Lauder prides itself for its Advanced Night Repair line and rightly so. This product really reduced the dark circles and puffiness. The lines were there still, yeah, yeah, I know it's just a cream. *pouts* Still can you blame me if I expect a miracle out of a tub that costs an arm and a leg?

Still, I would recommend this anyday.

Result: Less puffy eyes and dark circles gone. Lines stay unfortunately.

My Idea of an Ideal Idealist

Rating: 5/5

The Idealist Micro-D Thermal Refinisher from my last post has a partner. This partner though, can be used everyday. It is simply called the Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher. I love this product because after two 50 ml bottles, I could really see the difference! Others also seem to notice the difference. I use it all over my face before my moisturizer in the morning.

My idea of the ideal Idealist? Cheaper. :)

Result: Visibly smaller pores and smoother skin. :)

Downside: The container does not allow you finish off all the contents *hehe* Can you blame me if I want to use every last drop?

Idealist Micro-D Deep Thermal Refinisher

My skin is not what you would call fabulous and so when I found out I had 12 months to prepare for my wedding, I immediately got to thinking, I need all the help I can get.

I love reading magazines and I have read wonderful reviews on Idealist Micro-D Deep Thermal Refinisher. It even received a Cosmopolitan Beauty Award. I just had to try it. It is a bit pricey but it is supposed to have three differently-sized grains that helps to exfoliate your face. Also, strangely, it makes your face really, really warm.

It brightens your face the following day. However, it can sting a bit. You also should be careful not to concentrate on the same area too much so that you will not over-exfoliate and end up burning part of your skin from too much friction. The nice thing though is that they provide very detailed instructions matched with really nice animations at Estee Lauder.

I did not use this throughout my wedding preparation but I did use it once in a while. I was afraid I might have a bad break out if I used it every other day as recommended.

Result after using:
A bit reddish skin. Don't worry it fades after and then all you have is renewed skin.

Warning: Make sure though that you wear enough sun block and that you do not go wandering about under the sun for far too long lest your skin might get damaged. You do not want maps on your face.

Beauty Blog

Not because I'm pretty but because I would like to be *bwahaha*! Seriously, I have tried so many creams and beauty gunk that I thought maybe I should start writing about them so that all the money I have invested on the gunks I have ever bought may not be put in vain. While some of the products ended up hurting my face, at least I know there will be less victims out there because I warned them. :) This blog will not just be about beauty gunk, it will also be about spas that I have tried, boutiques and other things.

Today I will not be blogging on anything yet but I am thinking about blogging about things I tried while I was preparing for my wedding day. I recently got married last July 5, 2008 and I think all the things I invested on were worth it, or so I think.

I am no expert, the field I am in cannot be farther from cosmetology than Earth is to Pluto but I will share actual experiences from an actual person who, like everyone else, just wants a whip of miracle from that cute little tub from the make-up bar.
